App Installation Procedure

Mobile Device Requirements

The ATSGeoSuite Application has been designed to be used on the following devices:

  • The Samsung Galaxy S4
  • The Samsung Galaxy S5
  • The Samsung Galaxy S6
  • The Samsung Galaxy S7

The ATSGeoSuite Application is designed to run on the following operating systems

  • Android 4.4.2
  • Android 4.4.4
  • Android 5.0
  • Android 5.0.1
  • Android 5.1.0
  • Android 6.0.1

If you choose to install the ATS GeoSuite App on any other device make, model or type, you do so at your own risk.

Should you choose to install the ATS GeoSuite Application on any other device other than the ones listed here, the ATSGeoSuite Application requires the following absolute minimum mobile device hardware and sensor specifications to operate.

  • Android 4.4.2 or higher
  • 16 Gigabyte of storage memory
  • 2000 Megabyte of device memory
  • An external, four pole, audio jack capable of stereo audio output and a mono audio recording input.
  • A GPS sensor
  • A MEMS type magnetometer sensor (otherwise known as a compass sensor)
  • A MEMS type accelerometer sensor
  • A MEMS type gyroscopic sensor
  • WiFi connectivity
  • Edge, 3G, HSDPA, HSDPA+ or LTE connectivity
  • An internet connection with data use enabled sim card or data enabled WiFi

Even if the device has met all of these requirements, the ATSGeoSuite cannot be guarantied to install or run correctly on the target device.

How to install the ATS GeoSuite App

In order to install the ATS GeoSuite App, the client must simply visit the ATS website at www.ATSGeoSuite.net and navigate to the App Download page.

Once the user has read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions of Use shown on the App Download page, simply click on the blue button.

 

By clicking on the Download App button, the App download will begin. The progress of the App download can be viewed on the Android message panel. Once the download is complete simply tap on the "ATS.apk Download Complete" message as shown in the android message panel, as can be seen below, to start the installation.

If you have not already set your android device to accept installations from unknown sources then the following message will appear.

Select the "Settings" option.

Now click on the "Unknown Sources" checkbox.

A warning will appear detailing the risks of installing from an unknown source. Select the "OK" option.

A window will open asking the user if they wish to install the ATS app. Select the "Next" option.

Now select the "Install" option.

The Installation progress will then show until the Installation is complete.

When complete, the user may choose to immediately open the ATS GeoSuite App by selecting the "Open" option, or exiting the installation program by selecting the "Done" option.

First Application Run

When the GeoSuite application is run or opened for the first time after it is first installed or updated, it will automatically shut down in order to properly complete the installation or update process.

This will only happen once after a new installation or update has occurred.

When the application is run for the first time the user will see the application splash screen followed by the application is loading screen for approximately 10 seconds.

An application message screen will then appear indicating that the system has detected a application first run has occurred and that the application will automatically shut down in ten seconds. Please allow the application ten seconds to do this without pressing any of the device buttons. Failure to follow these instructions may result in the application crashing.

Once the Application has shut down, simply restart it using the Application icon on the Apps list.
