Calibrate the Cable

On certain devices, the voltage output delivered by the external audio lines is lower than the standard +- 1V the Geosuite app requires to function correctly.  On these devices, a cable calibration must be done to compensate for the lower voltage output on the device.

To do a calibration the user need only start a "Acquire point data" process under the "Project Data" menu.

Once the "Cable Test" menu appears, make sure the cables are in the open circuit configuration as shown then select the Calibrate option as shown below.

The GeoSuite App will automatically calibrate the cable and once done will show a message.

Reset Calibration

To remove or reset the calibration value currently applied to a cable, simply select the "Reset Calibration" option, as shown.

The Geosuite app will reset the cable calibration to the default value of 1, and will show a message that the reset is complete.

The calibration process can also be done under the "RES" tab of the "Feild Tools" menu.
